Do I need to come to your office?
Nope. I come to you. Your kitchen table, your office lobby, the common room at your building. I bring the stamp and the journal. You just need valid ID.
What kind of ID do I need for a notarization?
A current government-issued photo ID works. A driver's license, state ID, or passport. If your ID expired more than a year ago, we'll need to figure out another option.
How far in advance should I book?
A day or two is ideal, but I can often same-day depending on where you are on the South Side. Text or call and I'll let you know what I have open.
Can you notarize a document someone already signed?
No. The signer has to be there in person when I witness the signature. If the document is already signed, it needs to be signed again in front of me.
What areas do you cover on the South Side?
Hyde Park, Pullman, South Shore, Bronzeville, Beverly, and most neighborhoods in between. If you're not sure, just ask. I'll let you know if I can make it.
How much does a mobile notary visit cost?
It depends on the type of document and how many signatures. A standard notarization runs $15 to $25 plus a travel fee. Mortgage signings are different. I'll give you the price when you call.
